Pretty much what the camper said below is true. The pads are nice but that's about it here. What they advertise on their website and what is really here is two different things. No movie night, not even a walking machine or TV in the exercise room, what gift shop? Looks like they are trying to get a bar and pool table room right as you walk in to check in. No communication here and not very well managed. Beware, there is not much space to enter for check in, you may be waiting out in the road. Wi-Fi is terrible. Would probably stay at Fort Amarillo next time, they have a awesome gift shop and the workers are much happier there.

The good things first for this campground, the grass was taken care of well. They leave the sprinklers around for you to trip on. Nice pull thru's for any size. They had a wonderful spot for tents. OK now for the not so good, the trees do drip sap so you might want to think about a treeless space. The pool is more for wading which is OK. The employees seem to be driving by on the carts all the time at a faster speed then posted and stirring up a lot of dirt. Other than that.. All good. Would stay here again for a over nighter due to the noise from the thruway.

We turned into a wrong Rv park right before the turn to this one from the south 285 and you do not want to do that. We saw we were not the only one to do this. You have to turn at the gas station. Great easy wide gravel roads thru the park. The spots were just about all double lots that made it very nice pull thu's. Not a spot for more than a couple nights not much to do in the area. We did walk to the small town. The laundry room seemed to be very clean. We would stay here again. They do not have many open spots for over nighters so you might want to call ahead. All the workers that lived there had all nice clean spots.

This is a really nice quiet place to stay, the only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because of no cable and we didn't get cell phone there. They did have a phone by the indoor pool and I did use a 800# card. The owners are very nice people who really care about their park and campers. A great place to visit Bandera, or go to Ernie and Macs. I liked the idea that they recycled everything, even had a compost, they have no trash cans. A unique place. We would stay here again. The entrance is a little slim but the road is not busy at all so you can swing wide. We also received a thank you letter from them which is a nice touch. The price is for a week stay.

This was a interesting rv park. They put in a small new section that were good pull thru's. The only problem was you had to park perfectly to enjoy the small concrete for a patio. Plus you had to park your truck in the front side, otherwise you backed up the whole way to the end to get out if the row was full. They did have a small section in the back that was very nice and seemed to be for over nighters. They have a lot of extra parking on grass for extra vehicles, boats etc. It has a cute dog run. A great place to walk. It had a indoor pool. The bad part about it was all the speed bumps.

This is a easy on off by thruway rv park. Its close by a tiny casino. Easy pull thru's make it nice. If you back up by the fence its only $10 and the pull thru's are $16. When you call the number the man lets you know on a recorder how many spaces are left for that night, I kind of liked that. Nothing to do there, just a ok one night stopper.

Everything is pretty excellent here, the only reason its not a 10 is the water was way too soft. The campers that came thru, plus the ones there for awhile, were all wonderful people. The best message I've ever had. The owners and workers are great, I wish all campgrounds had the same quality. A great place to do a lot of walking. The clubhouse was very nice. The price for the month is unreal, great!!

For those who like close to level concrete and wide spots and no trees this is the place for you. That gets a 10. The reason we gave it a 6 is the fact of the location. The other reviews that state the airplane traffic did not bother them are being very kind. I had talked to about 5 others who had been here for just a couple nights and some that where here for a few weeks. They all had said they really did not like the runway of the international airport right over their heads. A couple said it hurt their dogs ears, especially the military jets that fly over. The people who live in the park are all very nice. Because of the airplanes we think this place is over priced and the owner had just raised their rates $50 more for monthly. Another plus is it has alot of empty spaces.

I'm wondering how a review that was once posted on here seem to disappear. It was not a happy review so thinks the owner may have gotten rid of it. I believe all my fellow rv,ers should be able to see the truth at these places thru the review sites.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 week. It was nice and very roomy. The entrance to the road of the campground is a very quick pop up surprise over the hill coming west off the 72, there is a blue and white trailer picture sign that does help, but be on your toes. They are about 50 ft from the road so no long, bad roads to get to their place. The owners are a wonderful couple that have just purchased the campground this year, and are working hard with enthusiam to make it better. They even get you excited about all the things they would like to get done, keeps you going back to their website to see what's new. We actually decided to go to this campground on the fact their new pool is with the salt water, which is very healthy for the body and skin, much more so than chlorine. Little did we think the weather might be alittle cool. There is no cable at this time in that area. Wifi was ok but they were actually working on bettering it as we left. Thursday nights they invite everyone from the campground to go to a local diner, which is fun, and you even meet others who meet you there that had been to the park in previous times. I used the workout room which was small and cozy and got the job done. Also they had a couple of people who are full time live- ins there, and you would have no clue which ones they were for the fact they don't allow a bunch of personal items to be outside like other campgrounds; they are all nice and neat. We will surely stay with them again when we pass by.

This seems to be a popular stop for several one nighters. My husband and I stayed here for 1 month. Very easy to get from off the 75 and nice pull thru's on the bottom level with no trees. The top level has many full time live- ins and shorter spaces with many trees. Nice walking area. The first place we've ever been that offered free laundry. The pool is closed for the season so can't mention if its kept up or not. The owner seems nice and makes sure everything is fine. We would stay here again. If its a holiday I am sure you would want to make reservations here, they do fill up fast.

Nice area to walk and shop. Very easy to pull into any space. Workers are older couple and very nice, the owner was rather quiet and seemed like he was not liking his work or maybe not very personable. This park is much better than the one 1-1/2 mile down the road. RV washing was allowed so that was nice. Three blocks from an outlet mall. We stayed here for one week and would go back if in the area.

This is a very nice setting for a RV park. Very quiet. Close to exit but no noise from thruway. The owner was very nice man. The pool was nice and clean the whole week we were there. There was a outlet mall pretty close.. I think it was the next exit down. The spaces were even but a little slim going back to the spaces from the office but not bad. We would probably stay here for a month next time. he didn't have any monthly spaces left.. which are all in a different location from the over nighters.

This was the worst my husband and I ever stayed at. Actually this was the place that made me look into the reviews and decided to take the time to start writing reviews to help others out. This was alittle scary to stay here. No one was ever in the office that looked like it had been closed for months, and the housing connected to it had a note on it not to bother them, they have nothing to do with the campground. Another couple was just setting up and the lady told me she was very unhappy, I agreed. We had both planned on staying awhile but both rushed out in the A.M. This is a Good Sams Park and I have no clue how. The ratings in their book is way off.

My husband and I actually stayed here for 1 week to get the better price. It was a nice area. They had a nice pool outside that they share with Motel 8 which they also own. Wifi and cable were good. The people working there were very pleasant and helpful. The corn palace area was pretty quiet to our surprise. We enjoyed the walk there which was about 2 1/2 miles each way. We would stay here again.

I gave this a rating of 6 only for the fact it had no wifi, which I like to use. The tv service was good and a nice neighborhood area to walk in. The small town was close by also. The price was great for a nice quiet stay. The fair no longer exist there. We had checked out another camp ground a few miles down the highway from them and glad we had passed that one up, this was 3 times less the price and got a better welcome at the fairground campgrounds. We would stay here again.

The workers there were very pleasant and helpful. Nice paved slots for everyone. The bathrooms were so clean you could eat off the floor. They have new owners since the ad in trailer life. The had no pay phone to use and many cell phones do not work in this area. The good part was the pool area was very nicely kept and had piped in music. They had nice shade tree areas, alittle hilly and the cable was not too good. The wifi was great. The only downside of this park was how to get to it. It had a curvy road and you just have to take your time.

My husband and I thought this was a ok place for a one nighter, alittle pricely. The pool was a different type of wading pool. Cable was ok and was easy to walk to "Wall Drugs".

The previous owners still there till Oct. of 08 are great. My husband and I loved the thursday night steak nights. The hill up in the backside was a little muddy but great wifi and tv service with no problems. We would definitely stay here again. We actually stayed for one month.
